What are the components included in a full-featured
parking system?
1. Entry Lane/Terminal – Drivers enter the facility by acquiring
a ticket which raises the barrier gate and allows entry into the facility. The entry station is usually made of stainless
steel construction which is durable during extreme weather conditions. There
are options for card access and intercom offered with the Entry Stations
available to parking operators.
2. Exit Lane/Terminal – Drivers exit the parking lot at
the Exit Terminal. Drivers will pay at the Exit usually via credit card to
ensure a smooth and quick exit out of the parking facility. Similar to the
Entry Station, the Exit Terminal also includes options for card access and
intercom.
3. Barrier Gates – Gates are at the entry and exit points
of parking facilities. Gates come in different sizes to best suit the needs of
the parking lot or garage. There are also folding arms and straight arms
offered per what the potential customer needs.
4. Pay on Foot Stations – These terminals provide various
payment options for drivers. Drivers can pay for their parking at these
stations to avoid traffic congestion at exit lanes.
